Big Family New Year’s Eve ready for 5th year of fun
LA CROSSE, Wis. — For the fifth year families have the opportunity to ring in the New Year at a big, free event.
The La Crosse Public Education Foundation is once again putting on the ‘Big Family New Year’s Eve‘ event.
It has something for everybody: entertainment, food, arts and crafts and a punt, pass and kick competition.
This year the event will also try to break a world record for the most people doing the limbo.
The hours are also a bit earlier this year to encourage more families to attend.
“Often people will bring their kids to the Big Family New Year’s Eve, let their kids have fun and start a fun family tradition, and then they’ll go out to dinner afterward,” says Geva Thole, executive director of the La Crosse Public Education Foundation. “We thought moving (the time) back would enable more people to do that.”
The Big Family New Year’s Eve is Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the La Crosse Center.
