Billings to be sworn in Saturday
LA CROSSE, Wis. — The newest member of the Wisconsin Assembly will be sworn in this weekend in La Crosse.
Democrat Jill Billings defeated Republican Dave Drewes in a special election November 8 for the 95th Assembly seat.
Billings will be sworn in at an event Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Myrick Hixon EcoPark (789 Myrick Park Drive)
“I am eager to serve as the Representative of the 95th State Assembly District,” Billings says. “I look forward to standing up for the people of the La Crosse area; to create and retain family-supporting jobs, protect our educational institutions and keep the necessary services that benefit the people of our area. As our Assembly Representative I will continue to listen to the comments and suggestions of the people of the 95th District and I will work hard as our voice in Madison.”
Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley will officiate in the event that is open to the public.
