Bisaccia details new mindset goal for Packers special teams
One of the biggest new hires for the Packers coaching staff is Rich Bisaccia, the man hired to fix the worst special teams unit in the league last season.
For Bisaccia, the chance to coach in a marquee franchise was a big draw, and though he’s got a tall task on his hands, Bisaccia’s got the mindset ready to turn things around.
“We’re going to try and put a unit together that cares about each other, that knows what to do, competes with relentless effort, and improves every day,” Bisaccia said Tuesday. “That’s going to go along with what coach LaFleur is trying to do with our team, but that’s going to go along with the units we’ll put out. They have to have an expectation that we have a one-play mentality. We don’t get three downs to get it right. We have one play to make a difference.”
