Bloedorn resigns from La Crosse City Council

LA CROSSE, Wis. — A La Crosse City Council member resigns after moving to a different home in the city.

Jim Bloedorn will step down from his Seventh District council seat July 2. Bloedorn notified Mayor Matt Harter and other city officials in a letter Monday.

Bloedorn was elected to the seat in April 2011. He previously served on the council from 2005-2009.

The La Crosse City Clerk’s office says Council President Audrey Kader will need to decide what to do about filling the open seat.
