Blue Ribbon Breakfast starts events for Child Abuse Prevention Month in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

In La Crosse, community members kicked off a month of events with a Blue Ribbon Breakfast that members of more than two dozen organizations attended.

“If we can step back and think and go underneath that behavior and really understand what is happening for that person,” said Child Abuse Prevention Task Force chair Nicole Milliren. “The stress, the inequities. What’s going on that causes someone to cross that line, we can really get to a root cause.”
