Bluebird Campground beach closed due to flooding
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — La Crosse County beaches are safe for recreation; however the Bluebird Campground beach is closed due to heavy flooding, according to the La Crosse County Health Department.
The department samples the water at county beaches to check for e.coli, which can make people sick if they swim in water contaminated with it.
It sampled Pettibone, Black River, Goose Island and Whispering Pines this week, all of which came back safe. Lake Neshonoc and Airport Beach will be sampled next week.
Bluebird Campground will be sampled after it is drained and re-filled.
