Bond lowered for Holmen teen accused in stabbing
WHITEHALL, Wis. (WKBT) — Bond is lowered for a Holmen teen accused of stabbing two people at a party in Trempealeau County.
17-year-old Arik Schultz faces multiple charges, including 1st degree reckless injury, 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, aggravated battery and three counts of threats to injure.
According to the criminal complaint, the stabbing victims said Schultz was drunk when he started a fight with the male victim and repeatedly stabbed him.
When stopped by Trempealeau County Sheriff’s deputies, Schultz claimed he was attacked by the other man first and was on his back when he stabbed the man.
A judge lowered Schultz’s bond from $100,000 to $10,000 cash on Tuesday, with the provision he be placed under the supervision of his father if released.
