‘BookStock’ to help independent book stores, musicians around the U.S.
Effort started Viroqua's Driftless Books and Music
A store is leading a national effort to support musicians and bookstores impacted by the stay at home orders.
‘BookStock’ starts this Friday.
The event was created by the owner of Driftless Books and Music in Viroqua.
More than 50 bookstores from across the U.S. have signed on to take part.
Money raised during the event will support business and people that are feeling the financial impact stay at home orders.
“We want these cherished places to survive through the pandemic and through the economic troubles. And people are so passionate about books and music. So this might be the first time that they’ve ever been paired together on this kind of level,” said BookStock organizers David Huckelt.
Everything takes place May 15th through May 17th.
