Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse cultivate roots in Kane garden

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse teamed up with La Crosse police for a day of service Friday.

Together, they worked at the Kane Street Community Garden to pull weeds and pick up trash in and around the garden.

“This is a really fun thing to do with the kids,” said officer Jo. “I love anything that I get to do with the kids because I miss them from the school year. So this just keeps us connected with the kids.”

School resource officers enjoy time with children since they don’t get to see them as often during the summer, officer Jo said.
