BREAKING: School District of La Crosse pushing fall sports to spring

WIAA had approved alternative fall sports period for spring 2021 Friday morning

The School District of La Crosse has decided to push 2020 fall sports to the alternate spring period that the WIAA approved earlier on Friday.

In an official release, the school district states, “This decision was made to provide the best opportunities for all student-athletes to safely participate in the sport of their choice without experiencing any delays or cancellations due to COVID this fall.”

The WIAA’s alternate spring period for fall sports features seven-week seasons for sports during the period between February and April.

The release says the athletic directors will be working on new schedules and will provide details to families as soon as possible.
