Brenda K. O’Neil-Cordie

Brenda K. O’Neil-Cordie, 59, of Chatfield passed away on October 20, 2021, after a long bout with breast cancer.

She was born on January 29, 1962, to Patrick and Avis (Pearson) O’Neil.
She graduated from Chatfield High School in 1980 and received her Interior Design Certificate from RCTC. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking out and helping others with interior design touches. She was a loving mother who was incredibly proud of her sons, a caring friend, and a strong willed woman whose personality lit up a room.
Brenda is survived by her mother; Avis O’Neil of Chatfield; sister; Becky (Randy) O’Neil Ruechel of Rochester; her three sons, Chad Cordie of Hayfield, Jeremy (Rebekah) Cordie of Blanchester, Ohio, Ryan (Erin) Cordie of Palmer, Alaska; two nieces, Katie O’Neil and Miranda Ruechel; Seven grandchildren, Alexis, Katrina, Teigan, Shay, Mellicent, Rhett and Braylee; one great-grandson, Keymari.

She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick O’Neil.

A Celebration of Life will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 30, at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield, with visitation from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Chatfield following the service.

Brenda and her contagious smile will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda has asked that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
