Brewers drop home opener 6-4 to White Sox

The Brewers allowed four unanswered runs over the final three innings to lose their 2020 home opener 6-4 Monday night to the White Sox.

Milwaukee had a 4-2 lead after the six inning before Corbin Burnes served up a game-tying home run to Jose Abreu in the seventh. A wild pitch in the eighth gave the White Sox the lead, and the visitors tacked on an insurance run in the ninth.

Starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed two runs in three innings in his Brewers’ debut. Christian Yelich went 2-4, while Avisail Garcia went 3-4 with 3 RBI.

The Brewers fall to 3-4 on the season.
