Brewers launch 4 homers in win over Pirates

The Brewers clubbed four home runs, two coming from Jedd Gyorko, in Friday’s 9-1 home win over the Pirates.

Gyorko’s first solo shot came in the first inning to give the Brewers a rare early lead. Coming into Friday’s game, opponents were outscoring the Brewers 40-6 in the first two innings.

Ryan Braun added a three-run home run in the third inning, and recent call-up Jacob Nottingham launched a two-run shot in the fourth inning.

Brewers starter Corbin Burnes threw six scoreless innings and racked up 10 strikeouts.
