Brewers reportedly sign first baseman Justin Smoak
The Brewers have added switch-hitting first baseman Justin Smoak on a one-year, $5 million deal, according to MLB insiders Jon Heyman and Ken Rosenthal.
Rosenthal reports the deal also includes a $5.5 million club option for 2021.
The 33-year-old switch hitter hit just .208 with 22 home runs and 61 RBIs last season. He projects to share time at first base with Ryan Braun.
