BRF on verge of 800th game in program history

Black River Falls is celebrating its football tradition this season.

The defending Coulee Conference champs are playing their 102nd season of football. Further, when the team hosts Logan in its last game of the regular season, the Tigers will play their 800th game in program history.

“We try to really focus on that and get the kids to believe that they are a part of a continuum of history and football,” said head coach Jim Bible. “That’s one reason why during camp, we sing the school song after every practice, and we sing it after every game, whether we win or lose, because deep down in your core you’ve gotta know who you are and what you are and where you come from. That’s what we try to teach them.”
