Bridges Church to host ‘spooky house’ during downtown La Crosse trick-or-treat
It includes displays like a mad scientist's lab and a pirate's den
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A free spooky house will help people get into the Halloween spirit in La Crosse Saturday.
Bridges Church will host the free event as part of the Downtown Mainstreet Trick or Treat.
Its displays include a mad scientist’s lab and a pirate’s den.
Although you might not think of a church as a place for Halloween, there is some history behind the decision.
“There was some ancient superstitions about spirits being around. But these days we know that, in our faith, we don’t have to worry about that stuff. So we can have fun with it,” said Bridges Pastor Anna-Lisa Hunter.
The display will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
