Brownsville VFW Post to break ground for veterans memorial

BROWNSVILLE, Minn. (WKBT) — The Brownsville Veteran’s Memorial Committee will break ground for its memorial at 11 a.m. Nov.11, Veterans Day, in front of the Brownsville Community Center.
The memorial has been a vision of the LeRoy D Holzwarth VFW Post 6801 for two years as a tribute to all of the men and women from Brownsville who have served their country. The memorial will honor the six branches of the military: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines.
Bricks are being sold for $150 apiece to family, friends and anyone who wants to have loved ones recognized forever for their service. All bricks ordered by Oct. 31 will be installed at the Memorial Day Dedication in 2021.
People can order electronically at the Brownsville website.
