Bus line expands service for Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin

CHARLEVOIX, Mich. (AP) — A bus service is expanding in Michigan’s northern Lower Peninsula to connect with several other Michigan cities as well as Illinois and Wisconsin.

The Petoskey News-Review reports Indian Trails service is scheduled to begin Aug. 1 in Charlevoix. The stop will be near the dock for the ferry to Beaver Island.

One route will take passengers north to Petoskey, across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and to Milwaukee, while another will go south to Traverse City, Grand Rapids and Chicago.

Stops on both routes offer an opportunity to connect with Amtrak passenger trains.
