Business Expo creates networking opportunities in La Crosse

More than 120 businesses were at La Crosse Chamber of Commerce's event

Hundreds of local businesses were networking in one place Thursday.

It was part of the La Crosse Chamber of Commerce Business expo.

More than 120 businesses set up booths at the La Crosse Center. They ranged from health, to finances, entertainment, and dining.

The chamber says this is a rare opportunity for companies to be in one place, all looking for new partnerships.

“Even for the companies who’s customers lie outside of our area, it makes for this robust environment for their employees to live in, so it’s a great way to grow our local economy,” said La Crosse Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Vicki Markussen.

The expo also included a featured speaker over lunch. Gundersen Health System CEO Jeff Thompson talked about strategic decision making and the organization’s impact on the community.
