Caledonia battles throughout, falls just short of state title, 51-49
MINNEAPOLIS, Wis. (WKBT)–A neck-and-neck battle throughout, as a last-minute shot came up short for the Warriors, losing 51-49.
Caledonia went on several impressive runs, including one to tie the game up at 49 with a minute to go, but Waseca struck gold with a go-ahead bucket with 2 seconds to go, leaving a desperation heave to win the game that fell short.
This ends a successful season for Caledonia, who were able to persevere through COVID-19 and losing a leader in Eli King, but several talented seniors for the Warriors have played their last game in black and gold, and will move on to play basketball in college.
