Caledonia crushes St. Croix Prep, advances to Class AA semifinals

Caledonia boys basketball put another dominant performance on full display in Rochester Wednesday night, as the Warriors beat the Lions of St. Croix Prep 81-52 in the Class AA state quarterfinals.

Caledonia and St. Croix Prep went back and forth in the early stages, but the Warriors began pulling away late in the first. Jackson Koepke and Sam Privet hit three-pointer after three-pointer to help build a 40-29 halftime lead, and the Warriors used that momentum to completely dominate the second half.

Koepke finished with a team-high 22 points, Privet added 21, Austin Klug scored 16, and Casey Schultz added 12 for the Warriors.

Caledonia will face Minneapolis North next week Wednesday at the Target Center for the semifinal round. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
