Caledonia seniors motivated for four-peat

Caledonia is preparing for what would be its fourth-straight MSHSL title.

Once again, the Warriors lost a big group of seniors. In fact, only seven starters return. But another group of seniors is ready, and motivated, to win their own state title.

“Last year, we were a part of it and that was all great,” said senior quarterback Mason DeMorett, who takes over for Alex Varney. “But really being the seniors and the senior team, the seniors are the leaders of the team and you want to get that yourself.”

“We go [to the weight room] the weekend after a state championship, us juniors, and we’re already getting ready for next season,” senior running back/linebacker Ryan Pitts said. “That just shows what Caledonia is all about. There’s really not an off day or week.”
