Caledonia working with nonprofit EdVisions to improve individual education efforts
CALEDONIA, Minn. (WKBT) — Caledonia Area Elementary is shifting to student-centered learning thanks to a grant and a nonprofit that specializes in developing education.
The elementary school will work with EdVisions over the next 3 years to transform itself. The nonprofit will help school staff reflect on current practices and design new ways of increasing student engagement and achievement.
“We’re really ready for this partnership. We’re ready to learn and grow and continue to reach out into the community and innovate the learning experience of our students,” said Caledonia Elementary Principal and Curriculum Director Gina Meinertz.
Caledonia Area Elementary is able to take part in the partnership thanks to a grant from the Bush Foundation, which supports educational efforts across the country.
