Campbell Police asking residents, businesses to register cameras
Information from cameras used during investigations
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The Campbell Police Department is asking people in the town to register private surveillance cameras.
The department uses the information from the cameras for investigations.
Business and people living in the town can register their cameras.
The registration request follows a similar request by the La Crosse Police Department about a month ago.
The camera can be the evidence that helps police solve cases.
“They pick stuff up and it can be something that you wouldn’t even think that would be significant can be the piece of the puzzle that helps break a case. So it’s really a huge force multiplier for the department,” said Campbell Police Chief Drew Gavrilos.
Cameras can be registered on the Town of Campbell’s website and questions can also be directed to the Campbell Police at (608) 783-1050.
