Campbell Police Department K9 celebrates retirement

TOWN OF CAMPBELL, Wis. (WKBT) — After nine years on the police force, a hardworking canine is getting well-deserved rest.

Campbell Police’s K9 Tasja celebrated retirement with a party, a silent auction, and plenty of dog biscuits.

The Department also welcomed its new teammate: K9 Reign who will replace Tasja.

For the human attendees, it was a bittersweet but proud send-off, but encouraged people to donate to support the K9 unit.

“Support your K9 unit. They do a lot of good work for the community,” said Investigator Josh Czys. “Most of them are completely fundraised based. They don’t put a line budget in for the K9 budget. So if you can, try to support your K9 unit.”

According to the Department, Tasja will be enjoying retirement alongside Investigator Czys and his family.
