Carlson named Milwaukee FBI head
MILWAUKEE (AP) — FBI Director Robert Mueller has named Teresa Carlson special agent in charge of the FBI’s Milwaukee Division.
Carlson most recently served as section chief in the Directorate of Intelligence. The 19-year FBI veteran started as a special agent and was first assigned to the Chicago Division.
Carlson was a case agent for the federal government’s Operation Silver Shovel investigation in the 1990s, which investigated bribery, drug trafficking and organized crime. She was later promoted to the Inspection Division at FBI Headquarters, and also has had stints in the FBI’S Birmingham Division, New York Division and National Security Branch.
