‘CBS Comedy Buzz Tour’ stops in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, WI — On Tuesday morning, the “CBS Comedy Buzz Tour” will stoped in La Crosse as a part of a summer-long road trip promoting C.B.S. (Comedy’s Best Season).
Alex Boylan from the “The Amazing Race 2” and Burton Roberts from “Survivor: Pearl Islands” are part of the tour, which stopped outside of the La Crosse Center at 11 a.m. The bus will go to Madison and Milwaukee in the afternoon.
There were giveaways, contests and sneak peeks of CBS’s most buzzed-about comedies. This fall, CBS will debut four new comedies: “Mom,” “The Millers,” “The Crazy Ones,” and “We Are Men.”
“Mom,” which premieres on Monday, September 23, is about a newly sober single mom and waitress Christy (Anna Faris) raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls. Emmy Award winner Allison Janney stars as Christy’s estranged mother.
“The Millers” premieres on Thursday, September 26. It stars Will Arnett who plays a recently divorced local roving news reporter who can’t wait for the singles’ life. Then his parents decide to divorce and his mother moves in with him.
“The Crazy Ones” will premiere after “The Millers” on Thursday, September 26. Academy Award winner Robin Williams is Simon Roberts, an advertising genius whose unorthodox methods and unpredictable behavior would get him fired…but he’s the boss. Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Simon’s daughter and partner at their agency.
“We Are Men,” which premieres on Monday, September 30, is about four single guys living in a short-term apartment complex who confide in each other after mishaps in their love life.
