CDC updates guidelines for summer camps
CDC recommending COVID-19 prevention strategies to ensure safety.
WASHINGTON D.C. (WKBT) – The CDC is updating its guidance for summer camps.
Under the new recommendations, camps can open, as long as multiple prevention strategies are in place.
That includes the use of masks, physical distancing of three feet between campers and of six feet between campers and staff.
The guidelines say camp activities should be held outside when possible.
The CDC is also encouraging everyone eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine to get it.
