Celebrating The King of Rock & Roll in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, WI — The spirit of one of music’s most missed performers filled the La Crosse Center over the weekend, with the 16th ‘Elvis Explosion’ event.
More than thirty Elvis tribute artists competed in front of thousands of fans. ‘Elvis Explosion’ supports the Children’s Miracle Network.
The show’s producer says the King of Rock & Roll’s legend has continued growing since Elvis Presley’s death in 1977.
“He was the first, he crossed so many barriers. [Elvis had] an illustrious career, over 20-something years. An untimely death at 42 years old, the hair, the sideburns, the gospel, the rags to riches story, it all comes into play,” says Ronny Craig, Producer of ‘Elvis Explosion’.
Craig says ‘Elvis Explosion’ will be back in La Crosse next September.
