CEO of Keokuk hospital to retire at year’s end
KEOKUK, Iowa (AP) — The longtime CEO of Keokuk Area Hospital will step down at the end of the year.
The Daily Gate City reports Al Zastrow has decided to retire after serving as the hospital’s chief executive since 1987.
Hospital board president Walt Stephens says the board has been working on a succession plan for the past several years. Chief financial officer Wally Winkler will take over the CEO role on January 1st.
Winkler has been with the hospital since 1990.
