Chance Of T-Showers into Friday Morning -Bill Graul

Storm Chances Friday & Again Saturday Evening/Night

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 44F / Friday’s Forecast High: 59F…

Finally, a day filled with sunshine and pleasant temps! In fact, the high of 63F at the La Crosse airport was above average… ending a stretch of 7 days in a row with below average high temps. Clouds increase late tonight as a warm front approaches from the south. That front will bring a chance for some scattered showers and storms after about 4 or 5 a.m.

2020 Evening 8 To 8

Thursday Night Forecast

Wkbt Master

As the warm front lifts north across the region on Friday, there will still be a chance for scattered showers and t-storms. There’s an outside chance for isolated strong to severe storms, but many forecast models keep that threat to our south or west. We will list Friday as a “soft” ALERT DAY just in case, so stay extra weather aware and stay tuned for updates as it becomes more certain if and where we’ll see any stronger storms.

Spc Outlook Day 2 Bill

SPC Severe Outlook for Friday

Most of Friday night and also most of Saturday is looking dry. It will be rather windy and much warmer Saturday, with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. A cold front will then approach from the west and bring another chance for showers and t-storms Saturday evening and night. Like Friday, there’s an outside chance for some strong to severe storms Saturday evening… but the better chances could remain to our west. A line of storms is expected to weaken a bit as it tracks east into our area, but we’ll have to keep a close eye on it. Again, we will list Saturday as an ALERT DAY, so keep an eye on later forecasts to see how things are shaping up for Saturday evening.

Spc Outlook Day 3 Bill

SPC Severe Outlook for Saturday

Light showers could linger into early Sunday, otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies and cooler highs in the 55-60F range. It will remain rather breezy Sunday as well.

8 Day Build 3

Looking Ahead… It turns cooler again Monday through Wednesday, with highs only in the upper 40s to low 50s. Monday and Tuesday look dry, with a small chance of showers on Wednesday. Dry next Thursday and Friday, with warmer highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Keep tabs on the forecast for Friday and Saturday… and have a good Thursday night! -Bill Graul
