Cheryl Hancock retires as director of Coulee Recovery Center in La Crosse
Board of directors names Rita Von Haden to replace her
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Cheryl Hancock retired Monday as executive director of the Coulee Recovery Center in La Crosse.
The recovery center’s board announced Hancock’s replacement, Rita Von Haden, who will assume the role immediately. Von Haden has been the center’s assistant director and program manager since 2006.
The board described her as one who has “shown a true commitment to carrying out the mission of Coulee Recovery Center and demonstrates a servant leadership necessary for the success of our clients and all of those that work with CRC.”
Hancock is embroiled in a scandal involving the use of a fake Facebook profile to respond to critical posts about the Holmen School Board and to challenge conservative school board candidates. After a special closed-session meeting Monday, News 8 will have an update and a statement from the Holmen School Board.
