Chief addresses La Crosse Police Department investigation

Chief Tischer released a statement about allegations against officers

Thursday afternoon Chief Ronald Tischer of the La Crosse Police Department released more information regarding the department investigation.

The release states just prior to September 10 several citizens came forward with information regarding allegations of misconduct by Officer Poke, both while on duty and off duty.

The release also states Officer Poke made allegations prior to September 10th concerning Officer Ulrich.

Prior to conducting internal investigations into all allegations, the investigations were forced to be suspended due to the complaint that Officer Poke made with the Mayor’s Office.

Once the investigation that the Mayor’s office conducted is concluded Tischer says the internal investigations regarding Officers Poke and Ulrich will resume.

The Police Department will not be conducting any interviews or releasing any more information to the public until the investigation is complete.
