Children’s Museum Science Festival works to make science fun for kids

Area kids are not taking a break from learning just because it’s the weekend.

Children and their families participated in the Wisconsin Science Festival at La Crosse’s Children’s Museum on Sunday.

The festival welcomed children of all ages to explore the different aspects of science.

Kids had the chance take part in all kinds of hands on science activities.

Organizers said the event is important for both families and kids to take part in.

“It’s important to expose kids to all different things at all different ages and we just encourage families to start doing things at home at an early age. So we allow you to try it here to learn you can do it at home as well,” said La Crosse Children’s Museum project director Christina Knudsen.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
