Chilly Sunshine Tomorrow
Warming Up for the Middle and End of the Week

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 25/Tomorrow’s Forecast High: 40
Good evening… we are watching a weak area of low pressure tracking across west central Wisconsin this evening. This system brought another breezy day with a mix of clouds and sun. A few areas in the far north even picked up some minor snow accumulations with this system. The good news is this system is on its way out and high pressure is on its way in.
As we head into tonight, look for that low to depart this evening. As it does so, expect to clouds to break up and winds to decrease. It will also bring a re-enforcing shot of cooler air. This will lead to a chilly night as overnight lows drop into the teens to lower 20s. The good news is winds will decrease to around 10 mph, so wind chills shouldn’t be a major problem.
High pressure will bring a sunny, but chilly day tomorrow. Look for afternoon highs to range from the middle and upper 30s to near 40. In addition, winds will remain on the light side… from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.
That high will bring another clear and chilly night tomorrow night as lows drop into the teens to middle 20s in most spots.
By Wednesday, the high will move east of the region. This sets up a sunny, breezy and warmer day. Look for highs in the middle 40s to near 50. However, it will be a breezy day with south winds in the 15 to 25 mph range, with gusts to 35 mph. Wednesday night looks breezy and mild, with lows in the upper 30s to middle 40s.
Looking ahead… we can expect an even warmer day Thursday. Look for a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the middle 50s to lower 60s!
A cool front will then cross the area late Thursday. This will set the stage for a slightly cooler Friday, with highs in the middle 40s to near 50. Low pressure develops along the front will bring a slight chance of showers Friday afternoon.
The low will then work along the front, bringing a chance of rain from Friday night into Saturday. By then, temperatures will have returned to the upper 30s to middle 40s. As a result, we could see some rain mixing with snow late Saturday night into the first half of Sunday before the precipitation ends. The big question with this system is where the cold front finally ends up. If it stays a bit farther north, we’ll see a better chance at rain and higher amounts. If it drops a bit farther south, we’ll see lower rain chances with lower amounts. Stay tuned!
Dry, but cool weather then returns for the start of the Thanksgiving Holiday week. Look for highs in the middle 30s to lower 40s.
Have a great night! -WKBT Cory Malles
