Christmas tree coming to the top of Grandad Bluff
The tree is large enough to be seen from the Cass Street bridge as well
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – The long tradition of lighting up the bluffs continues.
The Rotary Club is working to put up a giant LED Christmas tree on top of Grandad Bluff.
The tree is large enough to be seen from the Cass Street bridge as well.
Volunteers say the tree acts as a sort of beacon on top of the bluffs.
Helping with this set-up gives people an opportunity to give back to the community.
“Seeing all the volunteers and how willing people are to help out and wrap trees and be out in the middle of the cold, helping with all of these different displays. It’s incredible to see all generations and everyone helping,” said Alyssa Bishop, a volunteer for the Rotary Lights.
