There were a number of events at La Crosse city hall

Millions of kids entered the workforce Thursday.

It was all part of national “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.”

Although they may not have been working a 9-to-5 shift, kids all over the nation went to work with their parents. The kids were able to see what they really do when they aren’t at home.

Workers at La Crosse’s city hall had a number of events set up, including getting to meet the mayor.

“The kids get to meet with the police department for a half hour, get a tour, and then the kids get to meet with the fire department. and then they get to end up having lunch with the mayor at noon. So, it’s a fun day this morning,” said La Crosse city employee Doug Kerns.

More than 37-million parents and children take part in the annual day each year.
