City of La Crosse addresses community’s questions about Grandad trail plans
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The City of La Crosse is addressing questions about the Grandad trail plans.
On Monday the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry hosted a public forum to hear what the community has to say.
People submitted questions online before the meeting took place, making it easier for the department to prepare for the forum.
A big topic of discussion has been Grandma’s Gateway project, which has been approved to start this spring.
In addition to answering the public’s questions, the department went over changes and updates.
The goal of the trail plan is to improve multi-use trails to be safer and more accessible.
It also involves removing invasive species graffiti, litter, and unmarked trails.
The project is scheduled to start this spring.
The meeting was live-streamed for those who couldn’t attend.
