City of La Crosse Hixon Forest Trails temporarily closed

Closure due to unsafe trail conditions, parking lot/trail maintenance

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The City of La Crosse Hixon Forest Trails are temporarily closed.

The trails are closed due to unsafe trail conditions and parking lot/trail maintenance, the City’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Supervisor Jay Odegaard announced Monday morning.

The closed areas include:

Lower Hixon Parking Lot and Trails Upper Hixon Parking Lot and Trails Mathy Quary Parking Lot and Trails

When conditions improve, the trails and parking lots will reopen.

The closure will not affect the Grandad Bluff Scenic Overlook.
