Cloudy Skies Continue throughout the Day -Derek Sibley
Cloudy skies today but better rain chances for tomorrow
An Air Quality Alert is still in effect for our area and will continue through this afternoon and evening. Some and hazy conditions from wildfires will make things uncomfortable for sensitive groups. For La Crosse, this it set to expire at 8pm tonight.
Latest satellite imagery shows a wave of clouds moving in from the west with some showers over Minnesota and Iowa. Some of these showers could move in to southern areas later this afternoon and early evening.
Temperatures are mostly in the 70s at the moment, and we are only expected to warm up a tad further later in the day.
It’s noticeably cooler in the central and southern parts of our area, thanks to the cloudy skies and slightly cooler air in place from a recent cold front.
Rest of Today
Cloudy skies will continue throughout the day with a slight chance of a shower or two. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.
Next Best Chance of Storms
A cold front will move into our area tomorrow. Thunderstorms may form along the boundary tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Storms Tomorrow Could turn Severe
A level 1 marginal risk of severe weather has been issued for most of our area tomorrow, this means that isolated severe thunderstorms are possible. The main risks will be gusty winds, hail, and heavy rain with any thunderstorm that develops.
Thunderstorms possible tomorrow, otherwise, partly cloudy with highs in the 80s through next week.
Have a great weekend!
