Cloudy with Snow Showers Possible Today -Derek Sibley

Snow chances will increase by the afternoon today with cloudy skies and cold temperatures.

Latest imagery shows an area of low pressure over South Dokata that’s currently spreading snow over eastern South Dokata, northern Nebraska and Iowa, and southern Minnesota.  This system is moving our way and will spread light snow across our area this afternoon.

Increasing clouds with single digit temperatures for this morning, followed by light snow showers early this afternoon.  Snow is still possible late this afternoon, otherwise it will be cloudy with temperatures nearing the low 20s.  Snow should all end by this evening with cloudy skies and temperatures back in the teens.

Up to an inch of snow with locally higher amounts are possible with the snow showers today.

Next 8 Days

We could see some peaks of sun tomorrow with highs warmer in the low 30s.  Another storm system could give us another chance of snow starting Thursday, but a better chance of snow is likely Friday and Friday night.  Next week looks a lot warmer with more peaks of sun!
