Community Thanksgiving Dinner planned in Onalaska
ONALASKA, Wis.– Residents in Onalaska have a place to feast on Thanksgiving. The first annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner is being sponsored by the Onalaska Enhancement Foundation.
The dinner is possible because of volunteers and donations from the community.
Just like the La Crosse Thanksgiving Dinner, It will be free for everyone and will have all the familiar thanksgiving favorites. “Turkey and potatoes and beans and cranberries, there’ll be events for the kids and activities for the kids, it is football day in Wisconsin so we’ll have some t-v’s set up to watch the Packer game,” says Tom Brewer from the Enhancement Foundation.
The dinner is being held Thanksgiving day, November 24th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Onalaska Armory. They are still looking for volunteers and donations. To find out how to give, you can go to discoveronalaska.com.
