Complaint: Holmen man sexually assaulted girl over 5 months

LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. — A 35-year-old man from Holmen was charged this week with first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 12.

According to the criminal complaint, Chatham A. Moe performed sexual acts on a now 8-year-old girl between Dec. 2013 and May 2014.

The girl told authorities Chatham threatened to beat her up if she talked about what happened. The complaint states the girl was scared and thought Chatham was going to kill her.

Chatham appeared in La Crosse County court on Friday afternoon. His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
