Confusion persists about COVID-19 boosters in La Crosse area
The CDC says more groups may become eligible for booster doses as more data become available.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Staff at Mayo Clinic Health System say there is continuing confusion over COVID-19 boosters.
For Pfizer or Moderna boosters, as of November 1st, anyone 65 or older or adults in long-term care settings, those with underlying medical conditions and those that work in high risk settings are eligible for a booster.
And anyone who received the Johnson and Johnson booster who is 18 or older is eligible.
“Anyone that is eligible for a booster dose, second dose, third dose can get any of the approved vaccines for that second or third dose,” said Mayo Clinic Health System nurse administrator Ben Anderson.
