Conway chooses Minnesota
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Aquinas senior Michael Conway has decided to give it a try in the Big Ten. The standout athlete will join the University of Minnesota as a preferred walk-on, according to his football coach Dan Coughlin.
In joining Minnesota, Conway passes on a scholarship from North Dakota State. He also said he was receiving interest from the University of Wisconsin and North Dakota when News 8 caught up with Conway back in early November.
National Signing Day for college football is a little over a week away on February 6.
The six-foot-six Conway averaged around 200-yards a game in the air his senior season with the Blugolds. A shoulder injury also forced him to play a few games at wide receiver during his high school career.
