Cool Tonight… Then Lots Of Sunshine For Friday -Bill Graul
Breezy and Much Warmer Saturday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 41F / Friday’s Forecast High: 63F…
A cold front brought some scattered showers and isolated t-storms to the area this afternoon and also cranked up the winds from the NW 10-20 mph, with gusts of 30-40 mph around the showers. That front will drop lows tonight into the mid 30s (north) to the mid 40s (south). Winds will decrease a bit overnight.
Temps will be a bit below average on Friday, but lots of sunshine will make for a pretty pleasant day. Expect highs in the upper 50s to low-mid 60s with NW winds 5-15 mph.
Looking Ahead… Partly sunny, breezy and much warmer Saturday. SW winds will help warm high temps into the upper 70s to low 80s. A warm front will lift north to around the I-90 corridor and could fire some scattered showers and storms later Saturday night and into the day on Sunday. It will still be mild Sunday with highs in the 70s, even with scattered clouds and rain chances. Showers could linger into Monday as well, with cooler highs in the low-mid 60s.
This would be good news as the region could really use some rainfall. It’s no secret it’s been dry around here lately and the latest “Drought Monitor” shows Moderate drought conditions have developed across a good portion of the News 8 Now viewing area.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday are looking dry at this point, with a mix of clouds and sun. Isolated showers look possible for next Thursday and Friday. Temps next week will be near or slightly below average… with highs in the low-mid 60s for most areas.
Have a great night! -Bill Graul
