Cooler & Less Humid Tonight… But With A Smoky Haze -Bill Graul
Next Chance Of Showers Comes Saturday
Smoky Haze
Smoke from wildfires in Canada and the NW U.S. has filtered southeast across our region. Unlike previous episodes this summer, the smoke is much thicker and lower to the ground… so you can actually smell the smoke. This has prompted an Air Quality Alert for our area into Friday.
Otherwise, it will be cooler and less humid overnight… with lows in the mid 50s to low 60s. Normally I’d say open up the windows for some fresh air tonight, but probably not with the smoky conditions.
Mix of clouds, sun and smoky haze Friday. Also a bit cooler with lower humidity. Expect highs in the upper 70s to around 80F for most areas.
Looking Ahead… Slight chance of showers and t-storms later Saturday into Saturday evening, as a cool front shifts south across the region. Highs Saturday will be in the low-mid 80s. Partly cloudy and a bit cooler Sunday, making for a pleasant summer day. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80F.
Most of next week is looking dry at this point. An exception could be a small chance of isolated t-showers on Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80F Monday… then gradually warm into the mid-upper 80s by the end of the week.
Have a great night! -Bill Graul
