Coon Valley Baseball gets $10K grant from Minnesota Twins Community Fund
The Coon Valley Area Baseball Association (CVABA) has received a $10,000 grant from the Minnesota Twins Community Fund to go toward Coon Valley Memorial Park’s ongoing baseball field restoration.
The field, like the rest of the community, was devastated by the 2018 flood, and the community has been slowly getting all the park fields back to hosting games.
The Minnesota Twins Community Fund is awarding 16 such grants worth a total of almost $150,000 to communities all over the Midwest.
Per an official press release, “Celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, the Twins Community Fund’s mission is to enrich local and regional communities by providing resources for the healthy development of children and families through an association with baseball, softball and the Minnesota Twins.”
