Costume swapping helps families save on Halloween
2799134LA CROSSE, Wis.– Parents know how expensive it can be to get the kids ready for Halloween. But a La Crosse organization is making it easier again this year.
The Parenting Place’s 8th annual Costume Swap is coming up.
Families bring costumes in for a coupon then Saturday they’ll come in to choose a new one so everybody leaves happy. “Children come with their parents and it’s fun for them to choose one on their own, even though it’s not a new one. And they’re free. In the economy today we’re finding people are really interested in this,” says Fran Swift of the Parenting Place.
Last year, about 45 local families participated in the Costume Swap.
