Coulee Region Humane Society in Onalaska hopes to ‘Empty the Shelter’ this holiday season
Fees to adopt animals will be reduced or waived
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — If you are looking for a new furry friend, a special event could help you save some money.
The Coulee Region Humane Society is taking part in the “Empty the Shelters Holiday Hope” event, which starts Monday and continues through
Dec. 20.
All cats will have a $5 adoption fee, select dogs will have a $25 fee and fees for all small animals will be waived.
A lot of animals need forever homes.
“Our busy season never slowed down, so cats, we still have multiple rooms with in the building of cats,” said Heather Drievold, executive director of the shelter. “And we still have several animals foster care right now. So again, our goal is just to get as many into homes as possible.”
The Clark County Humane Society in Neillsville also is taking part.
